Hornitos Tequila

Hailing from Tequila, Jalisco in Mexico, Hornitos® Tequila (named after the “little ovens” used to roast agave) was introduced to the world in 1950 by their founder Don Francisco Javier Sauza in honor of Mexican Independence Day.  Don’t miss this opportunity to try  Cristalino, a triple-distilled Añejo, the newest innovation from Hornitos.

El Tesoro Tequila
El Tesoro de Don Felipe® tequila honors Don Felipe Camarena, the man who established La Alteña Distillery in 1937. The very same distillery in which El Tesoro® Tequila is distilled today. Translating as “the treasure”, El Tesoro® Tequila was created in celebration of Don Felipe’s most precious asset: his agaves. Estate grown in the highlands of Jalisco, they sit in the deep red soil, maturing, kings of all they survey.

Since the first drop of El Tesoro ran off the stills, the agave has ruled. Every decision, every part of the painstaking process, the waiting time, from growing the agave to placing the labels on the bottle— everything has been done in celebration of this unique treasure.

Today, his grandson Carlos Camarena oversees production. Just like his grandfather, he is passionate about agave and fiercely protective of his methods, shunning efficiency in his hunt for flavor. Estate-grown agave plants are still cooked in old-fashioned hornos. The piñas are still crushed using a tahona (stone wheel). El Tesoro is still double-distilled to 80 proof.

This is what makes El Tesoro so special. These are the hallmarks of their treasure.
