HRC Legendary Burger

Hard Rock Cafe Chicago, a Chicago PR client, is ready to celebrate like it’s 1971! On June 14, 1971, two-music loving Americans, Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton opened the first-ever Hard Rock Cafe in London and an iconic brand was born. After Eric Clapton asked to hang his guitar in that location, Tigrett and Morton had a vision to combine music, memorabilia and food for a one-of-a-kind guest experience. To honor the brand’s founders and celebrate its birthday on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, Hard Rock Cafe Chicago will offer civil servants who visit the cafe any Legendary Burger™ for only 71 cents.*

Hard Rock Cafe’s Original Legendary® Burger features a Certified Angus Beef® patty topped with smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, a golden fried onion ring, crisp lettuce and vine ripened tomato, served on a toasted brioche bun with Hard Rock’s seasoned fries. Just like the artists whose memorabilia lines the walls at Hard Rocks worldwide, the burgers that Hard Rock Cafe serves are nothing short of “Legendary.” All burgers are made with the highest quality meats, fresh toppings, savory sauces and rich, melted cheeses.

* Civil servants include policemen, firefighters and EMT personnel only. To receive any Legendary Burger™ for 71 cents on June 14, civil servants must present proper identification including badge stating their eligible status. Offer does not include World Burger Tour burgers. The offer is valid only for dining-in at participating Hard Rock Cafe locations, limited to one item per person and restrictions apply.

About Fort Frances

No One Needs to Know Our Name seems like an unlikely statement for an independent band in 2015, but its sentiment is neither ironic nor defeatist. It’s more of a personal manifesto for Chicago-based Fort Frances. In an age of hyper-connectivity and public oversharing, frontman and chief lyricist, David McMillin, says, “This is a reminder that we are all allowed to shut out the noise.”

There was no shortage of that noise over the stretch of time that passed since the band first started crafting these songs in early 2014. Marked by an engagement, a marriage and a divorce, the members of Fort Frances were each hearing the disruptive alarm clocks of adulthood.

“You definitely want to keep your eyes on this band,” Bruce Warren at WXPN wrote in 2013 when the band released Harbour, a self-recorded EP that landed the band on stage with a who’s who list of emerging indie rock names including The Lone Bellow, Bahamas, PHOX and We Are Augustines.

Now, as the band prepares to release No One Needs to Know Our Name, that prediction appears to be true. While no one may need to know Fort Frances, it’s safe to say they’ll want to.

PRESS:

In honor of the cafe’s birthday, Rock Baby Rock will incorporate never-before-played songs from the 70s into the performance and guests will receive a complimentary slice of birthday cake. Tickets for Rock Baby Rock are $50 and include a $20 food and beverage voucher to be redeemed during the show.

“To celebrate our birthday in true Hard Rock fashion, cafe locations across the country are offering any civil servant with a valid badge a savory offer to enjoy a sizzling Legendary Burger for only 71 cents,” said Alex Merchan, Senior Director of Marketing for Hard Rock International. “The party will continue all day on June 14, so we encourage all of our guests to stop by a local Hard Rock to join the festivities.”

Two music-loving Americans founded the first Hard Rock Cafe in an old Rolls Royce showroom in London. After Eric Clapton asked to hang his guitar in that location, Tigrett and Morton had a vision to combine music, memorabilia and food for a one-of-a-kind guest experience. Since opening its doors in 1971, Hard Rock has evolved into one of the most globally recognized entertainment brands, with 164 cafes, 23 hotels and 11 casinos across 69 countries.
