Classic never goes out of style. It evolves. Chicago’s original steakhouse since 1941, Gene & Georgetti, a Chicago PR firm client located downtown and in Rosemont, is celebrating National Steakhouse Month by offering a special steak and wine pairing available all June.

Join the celebration with a special 16 oz. Dry-Aged Bone-In Ribeye Filet. With a generous amount of marbling, it pairs perfectly with a 2012 Foppiano Estate Petite Syrah, Russian River to cut through the ribeye’s fat and bring out its rich, beefy flavor. The steak special is $57 and the wine is $13, glass; or $50, bottle; plus tax and gratuity.

New in Rosemont

Al fresco season has begun, and Gene & Georgetti Rosemont welcomes guests to the newly opened outdoor patio. Choose lunch or dinner from the regular menu, or opt for a cocktail or bottle of wine and items from the bar lounge menu.

A Menu That’s Smoked & Served to Perfection

Their bark is as great as their bite. Take a seat at RUB’s BBQ Bar and watch [or drool] as the magic happens in the “Smoking Room” equipped with two massive Cooshack smokers capable of producing more than 3,000 lbs. per day of “low and slow” smoked items- like baby back ribs ordered dry, wet or to “perfection”; pulled pork, Texas sausage, turkey, brisket and chicken.

Real Urban Barbecue is the first restaurant to bring the delicacy of perfectly charred, caramelized burnt ends to Chicago, and now Skokie. Top it all off with RUB’s homemade, signature sauces, and pair with comfort sides like mac & cheese, sweet potato soufflé and golden corn bake. Sandwiches, fresh salads, homemade desserts and a wide variety of gluten free options are also featured on RUB’s expansive menu.

Plus, for the first time ever, Real Urban Barbecue Skokie will offer breakfast every Saturday and Sunday morning featuring made-to-order breakfast tacos, fresh fruit, yogurt parfaits, fresh-brewed coffee, tea and more.

Also a first for RUB, an assortment of ice-cold draft beers will be available on tap.

“Since opening our first location in 2010, we have slow-smoked and served more than 156,000 slabs of ribs and over 391 tons of brisket,” says owner Jeff Shapiro. “The numbers don’t lie, and the demand is higher than ever. We’ve heard our fans pleas, and we are so excited to bring our newest and biggest Real Urban Barbecue location to-date to Skokie.”

Real Urban Barbecue’s Skokie location features high, loft-style exposed wood barrel ceilings above handcrafted rustic wood tables and booths that seat approximately 100 guests. Coming soon, RUB’s outdoor patio will provide additional seating for approximately 30 people.

Nineteen years later in San Diego, California he added “Comedian” to his name by stepping on stage and cracking wise. Over the last few years his wise cracks have won him, The Seattle International Comedy Competition, The San Diego Comedy Festival, San Diego’s Funniest Person Contest and The Rockstar Energy Drink Comedy Throwdown. He tells jokes in non-contest formats as well, so come and see Comedian Zoltan Kaszas live!

Andy Hendrickson, September 15-17: Not only has Andy Hendrickson made TV appearances on David Letterman, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Gotham Comedy Live and NBC’s Last Comic Standing, but he was also one of the stars of the recently released movie The Clean Guys of Comedy. It broadcast live via satellite in over 600 theaters nationwide. His stand-up style is one of the hardest to deliver: dry, clever, and clean. A true comedy veteran with over seventeen years of experience, Andy can adapt his routine to any corporate or professional audience.

Andy has a conversational delivery that draws on real life experiences based on family, work and relationships. A gifted storyteller, he shares hilarious anecdotes about life growing up as the one black sheep in a family, with two Navy Seals and three Ivy League graduates. One of his best known routines centers around his older brother who’s an Admiral, Navy Seal and a Harvard Business School alumnus. “Hey Andy, why are you’re so pale?” “Just my brother’s shadow my whole life.” In 2006, Andy was given the opportunity to thank his brother for his service and performed for him, and the troops, in Iraq. In 2011, he returned to Middle East on the Feeding Freedom Tour. Sponsored by Outback, the tour provided music, Andy’s stand-up and home cooked meals for over 40,000 troops on military bases across Afghanistan.

Paul Hooper, September 22-24: An only child with OCD, Paul Hooper channels his dysfunction into a cathartic harangue. He has an undeniable likability that he plays to the hilt through his bulletproof rants. This native of Charlotte, North Carolina, now residing in New York City, has been featured on Gotham Comedy Live on AXS TV, Red Eye with Tom Shillue, at the HBO Comedy Festival in Vegas, Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, Oregon, the Boston Comedy Festival, Michael Moore and Jeff Garlin’s Traverse City Comedy Arts Festival, the Vancouver Comedy Fest and was a finalist in the 30th Annual Seattle International Comedy Competition. A seasoned headliner, Paul has performed in forty-two states and ten countries, including two armed forces tours.  HIs debut solo album, “Tense and Uncomfortable” was released in October of 2013 with Stand Up! Records, and is available on iTunes.

Weekly rotating headliner shows are on Thursdays at 8pm, Fridays at 8pm & 10pm, and Saturdays at 7:30pm & 9:30pm.
